As architect, I can tell than to draw a museum is serious business of creativity. A space Gallery idem.

To think what to put inside, I can write, personally, is harder than to think to produce a architecture object. One thing is the new concept to produce another is the function than we have in relation with the concept of media art today.

We live in the age of media culture and media art. But if I should think to a person to answer to this question to manage this function, could be John G.Hanhardt.

John G. Hanhardt, is one the best and famous curator of media art and film in Us.He worked with Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and now for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. He started his career as first job in the Walkers Art center 1974, he was personal involved to exhibitions spaces, expanding programs than embrace video and performance in the media culture.

One of the jobs than was involved few years ago was to make artist video available trough Amazon.com for downloud. The idea to have accessible the culture in the web also as curator (where to conserve or preserve or mantain are important functions) is one point to be in favor to have knowledge of the image accessible.

This guest, really important, measure and understand the culture in this millennium, and what is happening when the invention of the cinema started in the 19th century is became to be “art”, where the moving image is now integrated with the art history.

The possibility today to have moving image integrated in a space gallery is accessible and fast to produce.

The question is harder answering completly to find a reason or motivation to a work. The themes and the installations is one of big point to think about. The attention is another point. But How you can represent the moving?

I don’t write (think) about the avant garde movie.

I talk how to ‘read’ performance/video, including the place, aesthetics, as the individual iconography within each artist’s oeuvre. Whether in black and white or color, the performance/video must “freeze” a broad swathe of information about a particular moment into a “frame”.

These “photographs”, come from for their unusual imagery, make a case about the importance of performance in the history of visual art, disseminating vivid and compelling proof of the highly performative nature of new media art.

Intersting to see the idea realized.

The concept, I suppose, is to have a image completly staordinary of the focus to create the performance/video as a work programmed where viewers increasingly respond to the call to attend a proceeding, to be close proximity to the artist and the glamorous art-world which they represent.

The process of recording today, the live event, or video became a sophisticated affair.

Today, The video or a performance became a carefully constructed independent work, quality and effective measure by a set of criterias portrays, abilities of a team than in the final hand of the artist determine the size, scale, and mode of presentation and editing.

To integrate into a space gallery is attention carefully examined, treasure and mirrow of conceptual empathy, very real sense of the art to put together fragments, creating directions and “shot fired” into a space completly empty.

Black or white screen, hearing sounds, moving ” our third eye”, to brilliant effect.

Integrity and Relation are two words than together they produce a performance, than we never forget. Having this attention , we can create a innovative space and programmated to represente the performance/video, integrating our idea or our concept in a real case, where art and representation are communs aspects of a hard work extremly sophisticated.
